About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic in Palm Harbor. This role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to provide care for adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older. You will work as an independent contractor with the flexibility to set your own hours.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver psychotherapy and counseling services using various modalities.
- Coordinate care with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services in line with company policies.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Palm Harbor, Florida.
- The role supports both on-site and remote work modalities.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- Work schedules are flexible for independent contractors, with office hours available Monday through Thursday and telemedicine options available Friday through Sunday.
