About the role#
Halff is seeking a Transportation Intern for our Fort Worth office. You will work on roadway and highway design projects for TxDOT, cities, and counties. This is a full-time, paid internship running from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
- Complete CAD drafting work.
- Perform calculations and analysis for design projects.
- Prepare permit applications and regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work within a team.
- Self-motivation and organizational skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Fort Worth, Texas.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8a-5p.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Note: Halff does not provide or pay for housing for interns.
