About the role#
Halff is seeking a Water Resources Intern for our Fort Worth office. You will work full-time under the supervision of a Professional Engineer to support drainage and stormwater projects. This internship runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design civil engineering projects with direct supervision.
- Assist with drainage and stormwater analysis.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water Resources projects.
- Perform CAD drafting work.
- Complete calculations and analysis for design projects.
- Prepare permit applications and regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with surveyors, architects, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent.
- Strong organization skills and a self-motivated approach.
- Great communication and team building abilities.
- Experience with HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS is preferred.
- Experience with Civil 3D and Open Roads Designer is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Fort Worth, Texas.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, 8a-5p.
- Compensation: This is a paid, hourly position.
- Note: Halff does not provide or pay for housing for interns.
