About the role#
Halff is hiring an Intern for our Public Works team in Dallas, Texas. This is a full-time, paid internship running from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027. You will work 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
What you'll do#
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Public Works and Transportation projects.
- Perform drafting CAD work.
- Complete calculations and analysis for design projects.
- Prepare permit applications and other regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent engineering degree.
- Strong communication, relationship building, and team skills.
- Self-motivation and organization skills.
