About the role#
Thomas & Hutton is seeking a Civil Design Intern to join our team in Orlando. This internship provides hands-on experience in civil engineering, allowing you to contribute to land-development projects while working alongside professional engineers and designers.
What you'll do#
- Prepare site-development plans for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Support the design of water, sewer, and storm-drainage layouts and construction drawings.
- Assist with permit packages and coordinate with regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with project managers and design teams on daily tasks.
- Support modeling and drafting efforts using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Help with project documentation and organization to meet project goals.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Interest in land development and site design.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, with preference for experience in Civil 3D.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational habits.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to learn and contribute in a team setting.
