About the role#
Thomas & Hutton is hiring a Civil Design Intern for our Brunswick office. This is a full-time, on-site role that provides hands-on experience with land-development projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers and designers to support projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
What you'll do#
- Prepare site-development plans for various project types.
- Support the design of water, sewer, and storm-drainage layouts and construction drawings.
- Assist with permit packages and coordinate with regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with project managers and design teams on daily tasks.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D for modeling and drafting.
- Help with project documentation to meet scope, schedule, and quality goals.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Interest in land development and site design.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Exposure to Civil 3D is preferred.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- A willingness to learn and contribute in a team setting.
