About the role#
As a Civil Design Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting land-development projects. You will work directly with mentors to apply your classroom knowledge to residential, commercial, and industrial engineering tasks. This is a paid, part-time position based in our Myrtle Beach office.
What you'll do#
- Prepare site-development plans for various project types.
- Support the design of water, sewer, and storm-drainage layouts.
- Create construction drawings and assist with permit packages.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with project managers and design teams on daily tasks.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D for modeling and drafting.
- Organize project documentation to keep scopes, schedules, and quality goals on track.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Interest in land development and site design.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- A willingness to learn and contribute to a team.
- Exposure to Civil 3D is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Flexible based on academic commitments).
