About the role#
Halff is hiring an intern to join the Public Works team in The Woodlands, Texas. This internship provides hands-on experience in civil engineering and transportation projects. You will work full-time hours, 40 hours per week, from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Assist in preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Public Works and Transportation projects.
- Perform CAD drafting work.
- Complete calculations and analysis for design projects.
- Assist in preparing permit applications and regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil Engineering or an ABET-accredited equivalent engineering degree.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work well within a team.
- Self-motivation and strong organizational skills.
Location & details#
- Location: The Woodlands, Texas.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Compensation: This is a paid, hourly position.
- Note: Halff does not provide or pay for housing for internships.
