About the role#
Halff is hiring a Transportation Intern for our Little Rock office. You will work on roadway and highway design projects for state and local clients. This is a full-time, paid internship running from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8a to 5p.
What you'll do#
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
- Assist with CAD drafting work.
- Perform calculations and analysis for design projects.
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with surveyors, architects, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program for Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent.
- Strong organization and self-motivation skills.
- Good communication abilities.
- Solid relationship and team building skills.
