About the role#
Halff is hiring a Civil Intern for our Richardson office for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position where you will work 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8a to 5p.
What you'll do#
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Perform drafting CAD work.
- Complete calculations and analysis for various design projects.
- Assist in preparing permit applications and other regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent engineering degree.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work well within a team.
- Self-motivation and strong organizational skills.

- This role is located in Richardson, Texas.
- The work is on-site.
- This position does not include housing support.
