About the role#
DCI Engineers is hiring a Structural Intern for the Houston office. This paid, full-time internship is available for the Fall 2026, Winter 2027, and Spring 2027 terms. You will gain practical experience through hands-on projects, mentorship, and direct collaboration with our engineering and BIM teams.
What you'll do#
- Perform preliminary structural analysis and design for various project types.
- Draft and detail using Revit.
- Review shop drawings and submittals as part of construction support services.
- Visit construction sites to support ongoing project work.
- Coordinate project details alongside engineers and BIM designers.
- Grow your technical expertise through consistent mentorship.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- You are in your 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate studies or are currently in a master’s program.
- You communicate effectively.
- You work well both independently and as part of a team.
- You have a genuine interest in structural design and construction support.
