About the role#
DCI Engineers is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Wilmington, Delaware. You will work alongside experienced engineers and BIM designers to gain hands-on experience in structural design and construction support.
What you'll do#
- Review shop drawings and submittals for construction support.
- Visit construction sites to support active projects.
- Create Revit details and drafts.
- Perform preliminary structural analysis and design for various project types.
- Coordinate project details with the engineering and BIM teams.
- Develop your technical skills through mentorship and daily hands-on work.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering at an ABET-accredited university.
- You are a 3rd or 4th-year undergraduate or a master's student.
- You communicate effectively.
- You work well independently and as part of a team.
- You have a genuine interest in structural design and construction support.
