About the role#
DCI Engineers is hiring a Structural Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Austin, Texas. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience in structural engineering. You will work alongside engineers and BIM designers to gain technical skills through mentorship and project involvement.
What you'll do#
- Perform preliminary structural analysis and design for various project types.
- Complete Revit detailing and drafting tasks.
- Assist with construction support services, including shop drawings and submittal reviews.
- Visit construction sites to support ongoing projects.
- Coordinate project details with the engineering and BIM teams.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- You are a 3rd or 4th-year undergraduate or a master's student.
- You have an interest in structural design and construction support.
- You communicate effectively and work well both independently and in a team.
