About the role#
As a Student Dietary Associate, you will join the dietary team to support food service for patients and staff. This is a paid, part-time, on-site role in Towanda, Pennsylvania. The position follows a rolling term schedule.
What you'll do#
- Prepare assembly line stations for patient supper tray service.
- Assemble food items based on marked menus.
- Transport food carts to and from patient floors.
- Collect garbage from the dietary and cafeteria areas and move it to the compactor or incinerator.
- Scrape and wash dishware from patient trays and the employee cafeteria.
- Scrub and sanitize pots and pans, then organize them in their designated areas.
- Use proper body mechanics to stay safe and prevent injuries.
- Provide quality room service to patients.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least sixteen years of age.
- You need the ability to read, write, and understand written and oral communication.
- Prior experience is helpful but not required.
