About the role#
Guggenheim Securities is looking for Summer Associate interns to join the Investment Banking team in Boston. This 10-week program focuses on advisory services for private equity firms and corporate clients, with an emphasis on sell-side M&A advisory. You will work within small transaction teams on strategic assignments, gaining exposure to senior bankers and client representatives. This program is intended for students interested in a career in investment banking, and the firm often sources its full-time associate class from this internship.
What you'll do#
- Support deal teams in developing, maintaining, and using financial models.
- Perform financial and valuation analysis, including discounted cash flow and multiple valuation analysis.
- Prepare client presentations and interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers, and accountants.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of M&A deal processes.
- Perform company and industry research to understand sector trends and client challenges.
What you'll need#
- Must be on track to receive an MBA or J.D. degree in Spring 2028.
- Effective communication skills, including verbal, written, and virtual formats.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interest in problem solving and client services.
- Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Significant maturity and the ability to work under pressure.
- Majors in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
