About the role#
Guggenheim Securities is looking for Summer Associates to join the Investment Banking team in Atlanta. This 10-week program focuses on advisory services for private equity firms and corporate clients, with an emphasis on sell-side M&A. You will work on small transaction teams, gaining direct exposure to senior bankers and client representatives. This internship serves as a primary pipeline for the full-time associate class.
What you'll do#
- Support deal teams by developing and maintaining financial models.
- Perform valuation analysis, including discounted cash flow and multiple valuation methods.
- Conduct company and industry research to understand sector trends and client challenges.
- Prepare client presentations.
- Interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers, and accountants.
- Develop a deep understanding of M&A deal processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MBA or J.D. degree with an expected graduation in December 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Effective communication skills, including verbal, written, and virtual formats.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work with limited supervision.
- A genuine interest in problem solving and client services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- A desire to join a growing, entrepreneurial platform.
- Interest in working in Atlanta long term.
