About the role#
This is a Finance and Accounting internship based in Bloomington, Illinois, for the Summer of 2027. You will work under the direction of an assigned supervisor to support financial analysis, business planning, and operational improvement initiatives. This position offers exposure to multiple areas of the business and involves collaborating with employees across various departments and locations.
What you'll do#
- Assist with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, efficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support projects related to profitability, cost management, and business performance.
- Assist with financial system implementations and technology improvement initiatives.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership teams.
- Participate in facility visits to gain an understanding of operations.
- Build professional relationships with employees, customers, and industry partners.
- Complete a summer internship project and participate in required meetings and orientation events.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Agricultural Business, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field from a 4-year university.
- Current standing of at least a second-semester junior or first-semester senior at the start of the internship.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips.
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 weeks starting by May 24, 2027.
