About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Mechanical Engineering Co-Op position based in Victor, New York. You will join our team for the Winter 2027 term. You will work directly with Product Development engineers to design, test, and maintain our material handling products. This role involves balancing technical specifications with business and cost requirements to ensure our products perform reliably for our customers.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain CAD solid models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.
- Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks Simulation.
- Develop and document design calculations.
- Execute Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Manage product Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings in ERP software.
- Support product testing, including functional and accelerated life tests.
- Assist with vendor fabrication and provide technical support to internal and external customers.
- Contribute to department projects and participate on company teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree program.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning (GD&T) and FEA is a plus.
