About the role#
This internship is a 10-to-12 week program starting in Summer 2027. You will explore the actuarial profession while building technical and interpersonal skills. This role offers the chance to solve real-world problems related to financial services and products.
What you'll do#
- Build a network of peers and mentors.
- Attend on-site technical and professional development classes.
- Participate in company-sponsored community service events.
- Use advanced Excel techniques and programming.
- Work with large data sets.
- Gain exposure to actuarial software, including GGY AXIS, MG-ALFA, and PolySystems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A strong mathematical background.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication.
- A minimum 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Have scheduled, or already passed, at least one actuarial exam.

- This is a full-time, paid, hybrid position based in Richmond, Virginia.
