About the role#
This internship provides experience within the Global Aftersales Packaging Engineering team. You will join the Packaging Optimization group to support automotive solutions and gain exposure to cross-functional projects. This is a full-time, on-site role for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the full packaging development cycle, from initial design and prototyping to performance testing.
- Address packaging issues by developing creative, cost-effective solutions for designs, materials, and processes.
- Analyze engineering drawings to determine physical characteristics, special handling needs, and safety requirements.
- Select and evaluate packaging suppliers, including conducting periodic vendor reviews.
- Manage multiple projects while working with global suppliers, product management, operations, and sourcing teams.
- Contribute to product introduction teams to help bring new products to market.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or a related field.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site.
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and BI software for data visualization.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage relationships across the organization.
- A high level of integrity and the ability to handle ambiguity.
- Demonstrated leadership in your field of study, service organizations, or extra-curricular activities.
- A desire to learn new tools and methodologies.
