About the role#
As a Systems Engineer Intern at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you will work on projects that support national security missions. You will join our Systems Engineering Integration and Test group to assist with technical projects. This role involves working under the supervision of a lead engineer and collaborating with peers to solve problems of medium complexity.
What you'll do#
- Participate in requirements, functional, and performance analysis.
- Design, integrate, and verify test equipment and setups.
- Create test cases, procedures, scripts, and documentation.
- Build and maintain test infrastructures and environments.
- Identify bill of materials and coordinate with material planners to procure necessary cables and equipment.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to build and check out test assets.
- Assist in preparing for and conducting formal test events, including qualification, acceptance, and radiation testing.
- Provide regular status updates on tasking from team backlogs.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program for Computer, Systems, Software, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- A standing of sophomore year or higher is preferred.
- A thorough understanding of engineering technology.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
