About the role#
General Dynamics Mission Systems is looking for a Systems Engineer Intern to support our defense and national security programs. You will work within our Systems Engineering Integration and Test group to assist with technical projects. This role involves working on problems of medium complexity under the supervision of a lead engineer.
What you'll do#
- Participate in requirements, functional, and performance analysis.
- Assist with systems modeling activities.
- Develop test cases, procedures, scripts, and documentation for formal verification.
- Support the setup of test infrastructures, environments, and assets.
- Help prepare for and conduct formal test events, including DVT, QT, AT, EMI/EMC, and radiation testing.
- Provide status updates on tasks from team backlogs.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and operations teams to build and checkout test equipment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program in Computer, Systems, Software, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A preference for students with sophomore standing or higher.
- A thorough understanding of engineering technology.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

- Compensation: The pay range for this role is $24.15 to $27.30 per hour.
