About the role#
Generac is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join the team in Reno. This role focuses on supporting mixed-signal hardware development and validation. You will gain hands-on experience in product development, including work with power electronics, high-voltage battery systems, and battery management systems.
What you'll do#
- Develop and execute large-scale, long-term test procedures for electrical systems, including inverters, PV optimizers, and IoT devices.
- Run functional and performance tests on electrical components, subsystems, and complete systems.
- Contribute to the improvement of test setup design processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering program.
- A high school diploma.
- A solid grasp of basic electrical concepts and an understanding of AC and DC power.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
- Experience with programming languages used to communicate with electronic hardware.
- A proactive approach to identifying issues and developing solutions.
