    About the role#

    This internship within the Device Development department supports the creation and testing of drug delivery systems like auto-injectors, pumps, and pre-filled syringes. You will work on-site in South San Francisco to help bridge the gap between pharmaceutical molecules and user needs. This is a full-time, paid position starting in January 2027 for a six-month term.

    What you'll do#

    • Design and conduct stress and robustness testing to evaluate the physical durability, mechanical limits, and environmental tolerance of medical devices.
    • Develop and execute test methods using force measurement systems to evaluate device performance.
    • Perform test method validation to ensure analytical systems meet verification standards.
    • Verify peripheral connectivity by designing and executing integration testing between primary and auxiliary equipment.
    • Collaborate with document control teams to ensure compliance with PQS standards and design history file regulations.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology.
    • Demonstrated analytical skills and technical expertise.
    • Ability to show a high degree of adaptive capacity.
