    About the role#

    This is a paid, full-time co-op opportunity for students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree. You will gain hands-on experience in a HealthTech environment by contributing to material assessments and long-term competence development in materials science. This position requires on-site work in New Kensington, Pennsylvania.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform material assessments and testing to evaluate biocompatibility for product development and design changes.
    • Investigate material failures and coordinate corrective actions with project teams.
    • Review new materials, manufacturing processes, finishing technologies, and reprocessing methods to ensure product safety and functionality.
    • Work cross-functionally with R&D, NPD, CROs, and regulatory agencies.
    • Contribute to long-term competence development in materials science.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or MS degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a similar field.
    • Experience analyzing the chemical and physical properties of materials to draw scientific conclusions.
    • Experience using test instrumentation and equipment in and out of a lab environment.
    • Ability to collaborate with technical disciplines and external partners.
    • US work authorization. Please note that the company does not provide sponsorship for this role.
