About the role#
Labcorp is hiring a Lab Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is an 11-week, full-time, paid position located in Burlington, North Carolina. You will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
What you'll do#
- Shadow laboratory professionals to learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
- Assist with non-testing tasks such as inventory, specimen organization, and workspace preparation.
- Participate in mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
- Support approved laboratory projects.
- Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
- An interest in laboratory science and the diagnostics industry.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to follow laboratory procedures.
- Eagerness to learn new scientific concepts and laboratory skills.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision and show initiative.
- Professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
