About the role#
As an Air MI Engineering Intern, you will work within the Air Manufacturing Innovation team to support the production of Nike Air Footwear components. You will contribute to high-priority business initiatives that align with the company strategic roadmap. This is a 10-week paid internship that requires on-site work in a production environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the manufacturing of Nike Air Footwear products.
- Implement solutions for product development, tooling designs, or continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with specialists in development, production, costing, maintenance, and facilities.
- Take ownership of a scoped project designed to drive impact and challenge your critical thinking.
- Work on areas such as production equipment design, automation, process development, or machine optimization.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate program with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- A strong desire to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Ability to analyze problems, assess data, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
