About the role#
The Innovation Underfoot Systems team invents and develops future cushioning technologies. You will work with engineers and scientists to understand athlete needs, create new concepts, and validate performance. This is a hands-on, full-time, paid internship based in Beaverton, Oregon.
What you'll do#
- Invent, innovate, evaluate, and characterize future cushioning systems.
- Support the development and research of new performance-based product innovations.
- Communicate complex technical topics to diverse audiences across the organization.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Experience with project management and tracking tools.
- Ability to create and execute Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Comfort operating complex machinery with a focus on safety.
- Strong data analytics skills, including capture, analysis, and presentation.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience using manual tools.
- Familiarity with systems thinking.
- Experience with plastics molding, injection tooling, or mold design is preferred.
- Experience with 3D modeling software like Rhino or Siemens NX is a plus.
