About the role#
As a Software Test Engineer Intern, you will join our team to ensure the quality and performance of GridOS applications. You will work alongside experienced developers and QA professionals to gain hands-on experience with the software development lifecycle. This role involves testing, documentation, and environment setup within the energy software sector.
What you'll do#
- Execute manual and automated test cases to find bugs and software defects.
- Assist in writing, maintaining, and updating test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
- Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and daily stand-ups.
- Document, track, and verify software defects using internal issue-tracking tools.
- Help set up and maintain test environments and data sets.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 4.0 GPA on a 5.0 scale.
- Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
