About the role#
This is a four-month internship role based in Ottawa. You will contribute to our network evolution by supporting the software testing infrastructure used for router products. You will work alongside an experienced team to develop solutions that impact our product success.
What you'll do#
- Build and enhance test and automation infrastructure.
- Develop scripts and tools to assist our R&D community.
- Collaborate with software, test, and DevOps engineers.
- Work with containerized environments and modern development workflows.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Strong object-oriented programming design mindset.
- Experience with automation engineering using Python and shell scripting.
- Proficiency with Git, including branching, rebasing, and code reviews.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, including build, test, and validation automation.
- Familiarity with Docker, containerized workflows, and virtualized or cloud environments.
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, log analysis, and networking fundamentals like TCP/IP and DNS.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large codebases.
