About the role#
As a CIC Systems Engineer Co-op, you will join the Critical Infrastructure Communication Engineering Team. You will work on a next-generation product line, learn our existing portfolio, and contribute to software development projects. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Rochester, New York, for the Summer and Fall 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and test software using Java, C, or C++.
- Integrate GE Cloud DevOps tools into the existing GE MDS CI/CD process.
- Follow established engineering processes, practices, and procedures.
- Report progress and status to project management.
- Estimate the time required to implement features and resolve issues.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Proficiency in Java, C++, or C.
- Experience with software development and revision control systems like git or GitHub.
- Must be a US citizen, permanent resident, or other protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act to access export-controlled information.
