    About the role#

    This internship provides hands-on experience in the advanced nuclear industry. You will work on projects related to the design and construction of new nuclear power plants. The role involves technical assignments that require independent decision-making and project management support.

    What you'll do#

    • Support project managers in the planning and execution of contracts for new nuclear power plant projects.
    • Help prioritize work to ensure small modular reactors are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Receive technical learning opportunities, mentorship, and coaching from project managers and engineers.
    • Apply your technical expertise to expand your skills in new areas.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate engineering program, specifically Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
    • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
    • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
    • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Wilmington, North Carolina.
    • The term is for Summer 2027, running from May or June through August.
    • You must have reliable transportation to the work site.
    • This position requires access to information subject to U.S. export control laws.
