About the role#
This internship position supports the Gas Power supply chain team. You will manage the buying process for specific goods and apply company sourcing policy. This role acts as a primary interface between suppliers and the organization regarding budgets and technical specifications.
What you'll do#
- Place and follow up on Purchase Orders with suppliers.
- Generate Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure successful order execution.
- Resolve supply problems and manage schedule changes.
- Update Purchase Orders within the ERP system.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to act as a motivated self-starter who can handle ambiguity.
- Experience working in a large, multi-site corporation and engaging with remote teams.
- A passion for process and data analysis.
