Military DoD SkillBridge Internship

About the role#

The Military DoD SkillBridge program provides active-duty Service members with civilian work experience during the final 180 days of service. This internship connects participants with industry partners for real-world training under Department of Defense Instruction 1322.29. Participants remain active-duty Service members and continue to receive military compensation and benefits throughout the duration of the program.

What you'll do#

Interns support various business units within GE Aerospace, including Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing, Avionics, Business, General Aviation and Integrated Systems, Commercial Engines, Digital, and Finance. Participants hold the responsibility and authority to execute all assigned tasks within their specific department.

What you'll need#

• Current active military status.
• Proficiency in using personal computers to navigate online documents, drawings, and instructions.
• Prior experience working in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information if not a U.S. Person.
• Academic background in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, or Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing.

• Location: Cincinnati, Ohio (Remote modality).
• Term: Summer 2026 (Q3: July–September).
• Status: Full-time.
• Note: This is an unpaid internship for GE Aerospace, as participants continue to receive military pay and benefits.
