About the role#
This internship is part of the Military DoD SkillBridge program, designed for active-duty Service members during their final 180 days of service. Participants gain civilian work experience through real-world training under Department of Defense Instruction 1322.29. This is a full-time, unpaid opportunity for Summer 2026, where participants continue to receive their military compensation and benefits.
What you'll do#
Interns support various business units within GE Aerospace, including Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing, Avionics, General Aviation, Integrated Systems, Commercial Engines, Digital, and Finance. Participants are responsible for carrying out assigned tasks and projects within their designated unit.
What you'll need#
- Active Military status.
- Proficiency in using a personal computer to navigate online documents, drawings, and instructions.
- Prior experience working in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information if required.
- Preferred academic backgrounds include Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, as well as Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing.
