Production Associate - High School Co-op

About the role#

This High School Co-op position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment. You will work at the Jacksonville facility, which focuses on the production and repair of gas turbine engine ignition systems and electronic components. This role is designed to help you build technical skills and understand the manufacturing process through mentorship and observation.

What you'll do#

• Shadow experienced technicians, operators, and engineers to observe the manufacturing process from raw materials to finished products.
• Observe safety, quality checks, and documentation procedures to understand their importance in the aerospace industry.
• Participate in team huddles and production meetings to see how priorities and continuous improvement ideas are discussed.
• Assist with simple data collection or tracking tasks, such as recording counts or times.
• Learn to use basic hand tools and measuring equipment like calipers and scales.
• Support processes such as soldering and machine operation under direct supervision.
• Perform basic assembly tasks, including cutting and crimping wires.
• Maintain an organized workspace and rotate through different departments to learn various aspects of manufacturing.

What you'll need#

• Minimum age of 16 years old.
• Current enrollment in a Vocational Technical High School or CTE program.
• Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale (no rounding).
• Completion of OSHA 10 training.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and pass a standard eye exam if required.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Status as a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) to access export-controlled information.
