About the role#
This internship is part of the Military DoD SkillBridge program, designed for active-duty Service members within their final 180 days of service. This role provides hands-on experience in the maintenance of commercial jet engine test cell equipment. Participants remain on active duty and continue to receive military compensation and benefits throughout the duration of the program.
What you'll do#
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and corrective maintenance repairs in accordance with a total preventative maintenance program.
- Analyze equipment failures and contribute to the investigation and documentation of system malfunctions.
- Operate specialized equipment and assist with the setup, calibration, and documentation of instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Assist with safety and environmental inspections to ensure facility compliance.
- Participate in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
What you'll need#
- Active Military personnel status within the last 180 days of service.
- Associate’s degree in a technical field or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 2 years of technical experience.
- Ability to interpret building drawings, electrical, and mechanical schematics.
- Physical ability to regularly lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs, stand or walk for extended periods, climb ladders, and work at heights or in high-noise environments.
- Willingness to work weekend shifts and overtime as required.
- Must meet the status of a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. export-controlled information requirements.
