    About the role#

    This internship is part of the Military DoD SkillBridge program. It is designed for active-duty Service members in their final 180 days of service. You will gain civilian work experience through full-time training at GE Aerospace. Please note that participants continue to receive their military compensation and benefits during this period.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform preventative maintenance inspections.
    • Conduct corrective maintenance repairs.
    • Analyze equipment failures.
    • Operate specialized equipment.
    • Assist with safety and environmental inspections to ensure facility compliance.

    What you'll need#

    • Active Military status within your last 180 days of service.
    • An Associate’s degree in a technical field or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 2 years of technical experience.
    • Ability to interpret building drawings, electrical schematics, and mechanical schematics.
    • Physical ability to regularly lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for long periods, climb ladders, and work at heights in high-noise environments.
    • Willingness to work weekend shifts and overtime when required.
