About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship based in Marlton, New Jersey. You will join our water engineering team to work on real client projects. You will receive mentorship from experienced professionals while gaining hands-on experience in planning, design, and construction administration. This role operates on a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning, design, and construction administration of water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects.
- Assist with site visits, surveys, inspections, and data collection for utility infrastructure.
- Help prepare reports, design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Review subdivision, land development, grading, and zoning plans, including stormwater management and erosion control.
- Aid in the preparation of permit applications for federal, state, and local agencies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
- Demonstrated interest in water or wastewater engineering through prior work, internships, or academic coursework.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in the field and contribute to project teams.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with BIM, Civil 3D, GIS, hydraulic or hydrologic modeling, and other specialty engineering software is preferred.
- Experience with municipal and private utilities is a plus.

- Term: Summer 2027 (Mid-May through mid-August).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Compensation: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
