About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Fort Worth, Texas. You will work on a hybrid schedule as part of our roadway team. You will receive guidance and mentorship from experienced engineers while contributing to real client projects. The program runs from mid-May through mid-August.
What you'll do#
- Create engineering and construction drawings using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or AutoCAD.
- Perform basic engineering calculations and input data into analysis software.
- Participate in field assignments, including inspections of roadways and highways.
- Assist with project tasks like reviewing drawings and proofreading reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest or prior experience in Roadway and Highway Engineering.
- Basic proficiency in CAD, spreadsheets, interpreting design drawings, and technical writing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well as a self-motivated team player.
- Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, Civil 3D, or HEC-RAS.

- Location: Fort Worth, Texas.
- Schedule: Hybrid work model.
- Compensation: $21.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Note: This position requires the successful completion of a criminal background check.
