About the role#
Frontier Airlines is seeking an AI Assisted Developer Intern to support the creation of AI-enabled applications and automation solutions. This role provides hands-on experience building and testing software using modern development platforms and AI tools. You will work under close supervision, receiving detailed instructions and frequent feedback on your assignments.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing mobile, web, and Robotic Process Automation applications.
- Use Large Language Model platforms to help generate, optimize, and validate code.
- Support the design and implementation of AI-driven solutions for automation, reporting, and decision support.
- Integrate statistical models and simulations into forecasting or analytical tools.
- Document technical processes, workflows, and project updates.
- Participate in testing, performance reviews, and validation to ensure solutions are reliable and scalable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Experiment with prompt development strategies and structured input methods.
What you'll need#
- Availability to work full-time for 4 months.
- Preference for candidates who have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework or are enrolled in a graduate program.
- Experience building agentic AI systems that autonomously generate and refine code.
- Proficiency in integrating AI-powered tools into web applications and ensuring secure API communication.
- Hands-on expertise in prompt engineering and fine-tuning AI models.
- Experience developing thick client applications with AI-assisted features.
- Foundational knowledge of data pipelines, distributed systems, and service-oriented architecture.
- Understanding of CI/CD best practices and familiarity with containers or orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Awareness of compliance, ethical AI practices, and data privacy.
- Strong analytical skills and a major in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
