About the role#
The Finance Intern supports recurring and ad-hoc analyses across the organization. You will assist with short- and long-term financial planning, cost reduction efforts, and strategic benchmarking. This role involves performing complex financial modeling, including internal rate of return, net present value, and payback calculations. You will provide timely analysis to Finance leadership and collaborate with various business partners and operating groups.
What you'll do#
- Support labor analysis and negotiations.
- Assist with capital allocation and fleet planning.
- Analyze flight profitability.
- Investigate root causes of cost and revenue variances.
- Propose profit-maximizing resolutions.
- Identify and size potential revenue and cost opportunities.
- Conduct scenario analysis.

- Enhance financial awareness across the company.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university, with preference for those who have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework or are in a graduate program.
- Relevant coursework in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, mathematics, or other quantitative disciplines.
- Demonstrated understanding of economic, financial, and accounting concepts.
- Familiarity with Excel, macros, and data mining software.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to structure logical analytical approaches and apply quantitative techniques.
- Ability to work self-sufficiently to solve analytical challenges.
- Superior analytical skills and business acumen.
- Strong work ethic and results-oriented mindset.
