About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Phoenix, Arizona. The position runs during the summer of 2027 and requires on-site work. You will support the Government Relations Department by assisting senior professionals with daily operations and various projects.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research and manage assigned projects.
- Summarize legal and business documents.
- Attend and observe meetings and conference calls, then create reports on the proceedings.
- Interface with in-house staff to support research efforts.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and organize business records.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed.
- Travel to meetings when requested by your manager.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year university or graduation within the 12 months prior to the internship start date.
- A degree or progress toward a degree in Political Science, Criminal Justice, Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of and interest in the federal government and Congress.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Zoom.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding department matters.
- A detail-oriented approach and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to understand and follow safety instructions and procedures in English.
