About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Phoenix, Arizona, gaining hands-on experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation maintenance. This program is open to students currently enrolled in an associate degree or certification program, as well as recent graduates who finished their studies within 12 months of the start date.
What you'll do#
- Remove, repair, and install electrical components.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment, including substations, motors, and process controls.
- Complete routine and non-routine repairs safely.
- Conduct basic instrumentation maintenance and calibration tasks.
- Operate maintenance mobile equipment and perform safety inspections on work areas and tools.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent completion of an associate degree or certification program in electrical, instrumentation, control systems, or a related field.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate verbal and written work instructions and safety procedures in English.
- Capacity to multitask and meet deadlines while working under pressure.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work in environments that may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, or mechanical parts.
