About the role#
This summer internship offers graduate students the chance to work within the Multifamily Division at Freddie Mac. You will be assigned a short-term project within the Modeling and Research area of the Capital Markets or Portfolio and Risk Management departments. This role provides exposure to the mortgage industry through real-world projects and internal collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Perform pricing modeling and security functions.
- Use portfolio data and models to monitor and assess credit trends, capital management, and portfolio performance.
- Support the integration of credit, portfolio, and risk management capabilities.
- Build professional relationships across the organization to support customer partnerships.
- Interact with employees at all levels, including senior management, on assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s degree program in Finance, Quantitative Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Ability to work full-time from May through August 2027.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly and solve problems effectively.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work efficiently under tight timelines.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship at a rate of $40 per hour.
