About the role#
Metaphore Biotechnologies is hiring a Data Science Co-Op to join our Computational Biology and AI/ML groups. You will support our platform by performing bioinformatic analyses for drug discovery and technology development. This role involves analyzing next-generation sequencing data and evaluating AI/ML tools to answer core research questions.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine and bespoke bioinformatic analyses for drug discovery efforts and technology development.
- Develop reproducible analysis code for team use.
- Run bioinformatic pipelines and apply AI/ML tools to research data.
- Communicate your results and conclusions to colleagues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Northeastern University Co-Op student.
- Proficiency in Python or R.
- Experience with big data and AI/ML tools.
- Strong communication skills to share findings with the team.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
- The work period runs from January 2027 to June 2027.
- This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, five days in the office.
- This position is paid at a rate of $25 to $35 per hour.
