About the role#
This internship is a full-time position for Summer 2027 within the Medicinal Chemistry and Structural Biology & Chemistry departments. You will work on research projects that utilize AI and in-silico methods to support our drug discovery efforts. This role is based in Foster City, California, and operates on a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Perform in-silico experiments to support departmental research activities.
- Use internal and public software to collect and prepare structural, bioactivity, or analytical data.
- Generate analysis with actionable inferences and create custom tools for your project.
- Participate in group meetings to discuss research progress.
- Present your final work at the conclusion of the 10 to 12 week program.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, MBA, JD, or PhD program at a nationally accredited U.S. university.
- Continued full-time enrollment in the Fall semester following the internship.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to work full-time for 10 to 12 consecutive weeks between May and August.
- Majors in Computer Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Independent authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
