About the role#
This co-op position provides exposure to corporate communications, media relations, and public affairs within the biotechnology industry. You will join the Communications and Public Affairs team to help manage media presence, contribute to strategy, and support creative projects. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research to support communications strategy and planning.
- Monitor media coverage and compile reports using industry PR tools.
- Assist in creating media materials, including briefings.
- Update and maintain media contact lists, including content creators.
- Support social media management and content creation for social, digital, and internal channels.
What you'll need#
- You are an undergraduate student currently enrolled at Northeastern University and approved for the spring 2027 co-op cycle.
- Demonstrated interest in communications, media relations, or journalism.
- Ability to write clearly and succinctly for various business channels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Canva.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with at least four days per week on-site.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Compensation: $25 to $35 per hour.
