About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience supporting the Global Research, Development & Therapeutic Area Public Affairs team. You will contribute to strategic communications, narrative development, and content creation that highlights company innovation across various therapeutic areas. You will work on high-impact projects and participate in professional development, leadership presentations, and networking activities.
What you'll do#
- Support communications strategies across the company portfolio.
- Assist with narrative development and storytelling to communicate research and development priorities.
- Create and refine communications materials, such as presentations, briefing documents, fact sheets, messaging frameworks, and digital content.
- Conduct research on scientific, healthcare, policy, and industry topics.
- Translate complex scientific and clinical information into clear, audience-appropriate communications.
- Support oncology and cell therapy communications initiatives.
- Monitor healthcare, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical news to identify relevant insights.
- Collaborate with teams across Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, Research, Development, Medical Affairs, and Commercial functions.
- Assist with preparations for major milestones, including scientific congresses, data presentations, and corporate announcements.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and strategic planning.
- Present your work at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program in Communications, Public Health, Biology, Marketing, or a related field.
- Continued full-time enrollment in the Fall semester following the internship.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work full-time for 10 to 12 consecutive weeks between May and August.
- Independent authorization to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship.
