About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain experience in corporate finance within the biotechnology industry. You will join the team for a 10 to 12 week period during the summer of 2027. The role is based in Santa Monica, California, and operates on a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Support financial planning and investment activities, including research and analysis.
- Assist with month-end close and forecast activities.
- Perform variance analysis and maintain budgeting compliance records.
- Prepare ad hoc reporting to support business decisions.
- Develop an understanding of target marketing and the biotechnology sector.
- Complete a primary research project and deliver a final presentation.
- Participate in professional development, leadership presentations, and community volunteer programs.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program at a nationally accredited U.S. university.
- Commitment to full-time enrollment in the Fall semester following the internship.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to work full-time for 10 to 12 consecutive weeks between May and August.
- Independent authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Capability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
