About the role#
This internship focuses on a Clinical Data Management (CDM) Metrics Assessment project. You will spend 10 to 12 weeks during the summer of 2027 contributing to meaningful clinical development projects. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in a biotechnology research environment while participating in leadership presentations, professional development, and community volunteer programs.
What you'll do#
- Inventory current CDM metrics, dashboards, and reports.
- Interview stakeholders to understand their decision-making needs.
- Evaluate existing metrics for clarity, predictive value, and relevance.
- Identify gaps in current CDM performance measurement.
- Develop recommendations for new or revised metrics.
- Create a metrics dashboard and perform updates to CDM Sharepoint sites.
- Present your work to the team at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Biology, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Commitment to full-time enrollment for the Fall semester following the internship.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and independently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
