About the role#
Fischer Homes is looking for a Field Manager Co-op or Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based in Columbus, Ohio. You will work directly with experienced Field Managers to learn the home building process from start to finish.
What you'll do#
- Manage the new home build process alongside Field Managers.
- Coordinate with trade partners, vendors, and customers regarding home progress.
- Complete PACE eLearning courses and participate in Sapphire training for scheduling and purchase order management.
- Observe home orientations and gain construction knowledge by completing various job scopes.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting approximately 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and navigating uneven terrain on construction sites.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and wear required safety gear, including hard hats and steel-toed shoes.
